Paint the Steering Gearbox?

Not sure if I shoud paint the gearbox?  Do I paint it the frame color (Chassis Black) or something else?

Suggestions?

I think factory they are left raw (to rust). The "resto" guys use a cast iron paint (Eastwood has it). If you're not into that I'd go satin black.

I paint mine so they don't rust. Black to match or Grey to replicate natural cast iron would be a nice contrast. Is the rest of the steering linkage painted ?

I am replacing all the steering linkage so it is all unpainted as well.  Sounds like a cast iron gray might be the way to go?

I think POR has a cast iron color that is supposed to last a long time.
