I think we're coming up... no Chevelle though (wagon's not quite ready). We'll probably arrive around 5:30-5:45.

Thanks to everyone that came out with or without a car!  It was a GREAT turnout!  And, thanks to Tony for helping make us the 'club of the night'!

Here's a few pics I took:

Had a really good time there last night. With the exception of 2 knuckleheads, there were no real jerks while doing cross-walk duty. (I highly recommend the rib-eye sandwich being offered at the pub across the street!)

I hear that. I had to stop and think about how my clothes smelled so smoky when I got home. Then I realized, there were grills running in all directions around us.

Yeah, between that and the exhaust, I had a headache most of the night. Felt hungover until about noon and I didn't have any drinks even.

I don't have a club shirt. The one I got initially was way too big so I returned it and I've never gotten any other. Did we ever get more of the polo's ?

The officers are currently discussing ordering more shirts.  More to come on that.

I think there are a handful of polo's left, be we don't plan on re-ordering them as we will likely stick with T-Shirts and Sweatshirts.  We are still looking into a 'shop style' shirt.

If Ian comes tomorrow night, he might have the club apparel with him.

It would be cool to have club shirts with the old style muscle car cartoon type of Chevelles on it. Kind of like the avatar Chris R has.

I had a great time too !! Good turnout and PLENTY of nice machines to see. Got home about 10:45 and went to bed at 11:15 only to get up at 6:00 Saturday to go to Stillwater Motors to set up the All Chevy show. Got to see a bunch more nice cars and quite a few I recognized from the previous night !!

fixed it. It needs a little cropping, but that's what killed the pic originally.

That was a really good time. I'd never been there before and it was really cool. My pal Scott and I were amazed at the lack of Camaros. Sure, there were a few, but there were many more Chevelles than Camaros, and that just doesn't happen too often! We only saw one other Chevelle wagon (a red 69 that was for sale). The way they have the food stands and live bands set up all over the place is pretty cool and gives it a real 'street fair' kind of feel. I thought we were getting there early, but all the prime parking on the street was long gone before we arrived. That's good to know in case I ever go back- you've GOT to get there early or you'll be parking on a back lot far from the street.

Oh- I'm glad that guy in the red '68 convertible with the open headers decided not to pay dues and join the club. After observing him making loop after loop all night and having to rev his engine all the time, we concluded he was probably a douchebag and the club is probably better off without him. Besides, Loren has the market cornered on red convertibles from '68/'69, and Loren's looks a whole lot better anyway. LOL!

Overall it was a really fun night and it was cool rolling over there with a slew of you guys in tight formation. Good times!

Scott-I got there at 4 and there was already a crowd taking up spots. If you do go back, you ahve to park legally until 6 when they close the streets off (no backing in, etc). That parking lot is reserved for the host club, and we had to guard it so it wouldn't fill up with others. Got several dirty looks from people who thought they deserved to be there (Yeah, I'm looking at you Mr I-have-an-early-red-corvette-guy).

Im supprised the Anoka and Hastings shows dont have some sort of club participation like this. I have been told that they do but it just doesnt appear to be the same.

Hastings has "club" nights too. The Camaro Club has been there every year for 3 years now. They put the "club" way on the east end of town, pretty much out of sight of Main St. so it's not a very "special" area like front and center at No. St. Paul...bs

I think that's the east parking lot we usually park in when we park together as a group in Hastings.  It isn't marked very well if that's the club of the night area...
