Where did the group meet up last year?  Somewhere in the east metro to get onto I94 East?

And, what time did you meet up?

We will put together a plan for a meeting place and time once we have the info from last year.

FYI-The rain date is the next day on Sun., May 22nd in case of bad weather.

I presume the majority of you guys will be trailering your car to the track. Dont forget about making sure your tow vehicle is up to the challenge beside just the car your running. It would suck to pour so much attention into making sure your car doesnt break on the strip and your stuck on the side of the road because of an issue with the truck.

Tony, thanks for offering.  That works for me.

What time do you suggest we meet at your house to get to the track at a decent time?  Say meet at your house by 7:30 a.m. to put us there around 9 a.m.?

Maybe we can talk Delke into bringing the mobile tail gate grill if we pitch in for food!

Sounds good!

When we get a little closer, I'll post another reminder and have John D. send out an email to all members for the date/time reminder.

Hopefully others will chime in that they can meet up at your place at 7 a.m.

I know it'll be more fun to drive down together and I don't mean to discourage that but for the guys in the South metro, it would be 15 miles shorter to take Hwy 42 to Hastings and go North to US 10 and run that to Durand. You pick up WI 85 there and it takes you right into Rock Falls.

If going to Tony's first, Rock Falls directions have you going to exit #65 and back tracking. I did a mapquest and they had me exiting at #52 which is US12/WI29. Go north under the freeway and take an immediate right on US12. Run that parralel to the freeway to S. Holly Ave. Turn South and that runs right into WI85 and is showing an 8 mile savings on distance.

I wish with all my might that I would've had the '66 ready for this but there's no way.....  If we do it again later in the year, I should be ready.

The Camaro Club Spring Cruise is that day too. I'm so confused, I don't know what to do.....

I would like to go, but I'll be out of town. Going to head there tomorrow (15th for test and tune). I see they are having 4 muscle car days this year,

Four (4) Muscle Car Only Drag Races will be held in 2011. The dates for those races are: Saturday, June 11 (Rain Date of Sun. June 12); Sunday, July 10; Sunday, August 7 and Sunday, October 2.

They draw alot more cars for those and nicer ones to boot (all old stuff). They run 1/4 second brackets, so it's heads up racing and alot more fun. I shall try to go to at least a couple of those.

The Muscle Car Drags sounds fun too and we may have to keep it in mind as Plan B since the forecast for next weekend is showing rain both days..  ARGH!

Took the Chevelle for nice drive to Fleet Farm this afternoon and now I can check the helmet off the list!

At my Fleet Farm none of the helmets were SNELL APPROVED. They only had "Raider" brand with DOT approval. What Fleet Farm did you get yours at ? What brand was it ?

Houston, we may have a problem... Somewhere on the forum (I can't find it now...) I thought someone said the DOT helmets were o.k. down to 11.49 seconds so that's why I bought the Raider DOT helmet from Fleet Farm.  That's all they had.

Looks like I will need to find a Snell 2005 or newer one quickly...

HJC Helmets 59-3602 - HJC CL-31 Open Face Snell M2005/DOT Helmet

The Fleet Farm DOT helmet will become garage art, but that's o.k. as I'm only into it for $35...
