Hit the dyno with the crate engine yesterday...

Took the new GM Performance 454 to Wheeler's for a dyno yesterday.  What a blast that was.  It is a 454HO.  We got 489 FT# and 455 hp out of it.  488 ft3 of torque at 2800RPM, wow, there go the tires.  It was advertised as 500 ft# and 425 hp.  It ran like a dream.  My wife stopped by near the end and said I had a "perma grin". a Nice to see something run as advertised.  Today it is turning orange.  Got my inner fenders and headers back from powder coating and they look great.  Project is coming together faster thatn I thought.

Good deal Jon.  Nothing like the feeling of dropping in an already dyno'd engine and not wondering what will happen when you hit the key.

We'll have to have another 'muffler sound off' event when you get it back on the road to hear her roar!  a
