I was staying under the radar on my updates as every time I say something I am doing I have major set backs. Stan shamed me into posting I guess. The car is back after the GM engine warranty updates. So far, knock on wood, no oil consumption. Weather permitting it goes to Master Transmission next week...

I picked up a pair of ceramic coated headers last week. Can they drill a hole in it and weld in the 02 sensor bung like my old steel headers? I know I am suppose to wait until next spring to work on the Chevelle but I can't help myself ... this is my 2nd upgrade this fall and I already want to look in to building a c...

I see my radiator is leaking again where to top tank is soddered to the core. I tried to fix before and will try again. But wondering if there is a special kind of sodder to use. Guys, My house storage is maxed out right now and I might be picking up a another car (not a chevelle though) and wondering what people do for storage options. I could store along side the garage but would prefer indoors. Thanks, John

Not really a new topic since it has been dragging out for over a year now. Anyway, the car went in last week and the engine got pulled and off to Wheeler's for a break down, inspection and rebuild. I hope to hear something this week as to what they have found regarding anything out of spec. At least GMPP...

Did GM use a rubber filler piece at the corners of the rear bumper on the 68-72 era Chevelles? I believe the Montes had them, and the 73-> era cars had them. I did find a listing for a 69 Councours, but I can't confirm if that's the exact piece. My car is pretty well original in the body aspects, and I don't...

Thank God it only scuffed the fender a bit. Being it appears to not broken through the clear coat what should I use to buff it up a bit? I think rubbing compound is not necessary and polishing compound still too harsh. Should I just use a paste wax and should I apply it by hand or use the buffer on a low settin...

Got the exhaust repaired on the "Green Mary" today, and got her home. Up in the air with it to replace the air-shock lines... what drips in my face? Brake fluid. Had to make a quasi-panic stop on the way home from the shop and must have found the weak point in the (rusty) LR line. It's weeping from the 1st do...

Covering the 2 doors on a 4' cabinet in my garage. Anyone have some spares? I don't want to duplicate what I already have, so post what you have and we can figure it out from there. I have a bunch of others too, maybe I can trade some?

I am going to get moving on my orange 70 again this fall and finish it over the winter. I repainted it in May or June (can't remember the exact day or week) it still needs to be cut and buffed. The engine is complete I just need to take it to the dyno. The engine is a 1970 3963512 454 block that is stroked and bore...

Rolled in for my chassis dyno session this morning at TPIS in Chaska. They use an axle dyno vs roller drum style. Nice since there's no chance of slipping. They have adapters that bolt to your axles, and then the sides mount to that. Some would call them portable, but they're more like moveable. When it w...
