Steering box change to T-35 torsion bar and ratio change Lee manufacturing of CA thoughts and opinions

I contacted them yesterday. They can change my 1966 gear box to a heavier torsion bar and 12:1 ratio for $200 plus shipping and tax.  They can also install a 16:1 variable ratio.  I took a JGC box where I put the 12:1 ratio and input shaft fron the jeep box into my origional chevelle box.  Any thoughts or opinions?

I prefer the 12:1. Effort is a little higher, but feels more like modern power-steering.
With stock type suspension geometry, stock large steering wheel, skinny stock tires, and 16:1 box there's no feel or effort in the steering at all.

Thanks  Dereck,  pretty much stock suspension; but I added a 1.25 sway bar from 66 Malibu 7/8” bar.  1/2” taller upper ball joints.  A little bigger front tires, F40.

i have a 12:1 worm gear out of another gear box.  Now hope Lee Manufacturing will just take my input shaft and change the torsion bar.  A lot less shipping cost with just sending in the input shaft.
