Garage is getting to small.  I would like to store/work on the two Chevelle’s this winter as well as keep Rachel’s Blazer inside.  That leaves my Silverado outside.  I would like to have something to park it under that doesn’t blow away.  I have a 23 1/2’ wide  pad in front of the garage.  With two 9’ doors. Thinking at least 10’x20’.  Anyone with experience with a carport or recommendations?   My lot is pretty small, thinking of something in front of the left garage door.

Be sure to check the local building codes. Some codes will not allow structures between the home and the street.

Any structure placed there will need to be anchored to the slab.
I had a 12'X20' at my previous home and it was OK, but high winds would flap the front closure hard enough to tear it up. I had to run 4 ratchet straps across the opening behind it to limit the movement and damage.

I was worried  about wind. Those straps would make it a pain exiting and entering.  I only have. A 4” slab.   I’ll have to check the codes, there are a couple of carports around.  Do you  think I can get by for $500?
