I might not run the car for a couple of months if that makes a difference. I also read about jacking up the car on one side to let the gear oil run down to the bearing. Do I pack th3 cavity between the seal and the bearing with high temp bearing grease. Getting close to finishing the rear axel build.

No bearing grease, just do the fill and lean to one side, level, refill and lean to the other side. Rotate the axle a couple dozen times when you have it lower, to circulate the lube in the bearing.
Well I messed up. One of the spider gear thrust washers slipped out. I have read it is possible to slip back while rotating the carrier. Anyone have luck at that? Don’t want to remove the housing and carrier to accomplish this.
