Talked to John, he has always been helpful. he mentioned that he has seen this fitting leak we’re the metal connector goes through the plastic part of the fitting.  No real good permanent fit.   What I am currently considering is to try to  drain the fluid  below the fitting by disconnecting the fitting at the radiator cooler and jacking the rear of the car up this winter.  Then hope that when I level the car all is good.  Then clean, clean, clean.  Then smear a bunch of RTV around and hope for the best.  Only other option is to drop the pan and replace the fitting.

the photo doesn’t show the leak the best.
