Does anyone know of where this spring cam from?

Well I cant figure out where this spring came from, maybe my Chevelle maybe not.  It was on my bench near some parts from the wiper motor.  I removed the wiper motor to clean and paint and replace some of the mounting bushings. when I put the wiper motor toigether and back on the car.  Or maybe it came from somewhere else on the car?  Can you help. Thanks

What type of wiper motor was it? 2 speed motor / gear box (round) or rectangle motor / gear box?

 Two speed, grear box is round.  66 chevelle.  Maybe you can see it behind the booster.  I can add a closeup photo if that will help.

Might be from the washer pump cam ?
Now is the time to paint the top half of the front valance silver, while you have everything out yet.

 Thanks Mitch, wish there was a blow up photo of a disassembled pump.  Yes the area above the trim should be silver on Malibu and SS.  Valance had never been off the car as far as I could determine.  Car repainted with body paNelson never removed.  Maybe car will be re-painted in the future.
