I was working 4 days a week at Centerline until last week. I finished a project and told Dave I was going to take a break for a few weeks.
The push to work more was for funding for spring/summer projects around here. I am having the back half of the new shed put in concrete, for the lifts to sit on. I need to build more trusses in the existing shop building, to support a ceiling, and the 2 closest to the door will need to be notched to install an overhead door and get rid of the sliders....I HATE those door, so this is a must do this year.
I would also, like to get the shop insulated and heated, but we are having natural gas brought in from the street to get rid of the propane and that will bring a new furnace with it. The one in the house is original and at 20 yrs old, I'm not inclined to convert it back to gas. I will also replace the 80 GALLON electric water heater with a smaller gas unit and the worthless water softener will be replaced too.
This damned corona crap is eating into my work funding. Gonna be an expensive year for changes/upgrades.
I will, most likely, be working for the excavator who did the pad and driveway to the new building this summer. He was rather impressed with my knowledge of dirt work and how to guide the trucks back to the pad area. After I told him my past experience, he offered me a part-time job this summer. It will feel good to be rowing thru 13 speeds for a few months again...
