Installed the rear cover today and added some gear lube and gm posi additive. When searching the internet it seem most sites said 2 qts and one (1) 4 oz GM bottle of additive. Then when doing a little research on rebuilding the carrier, a highly regarded corvette rebuilder that has been doing it for 47 years out in PA offer a full restro rebuild and it included 8 oz of the additive and 2 quarts of the fluid. Makes one wonder.
As I recall start with 4oz, if the diff chatters or snaps on corners add 2oz more up to 8oz. The stuff is a friction modifier, so add only what's needed.
I would think to much additive would cause excessive clutch slippage.
I didn't use any additive, the diff would sometimes snap on starts during cornering but never any other time.

Good to know. When I got the red 66 SS it would do that snaping thing on corners. It had a 2 series carrier with a spacer, I changed it to a 3 series and added the additive, no more sniping.
