I have to be there at 5:30 to work the gates, the Corvette club has that responsibility.

Than off to the swap meet at 7:00

I had big plans to enter 2 cars, but life is just too busy right now with 2 cars in CAC. I may go for a while as a spectator.

This is my plan B for the weekend. I would like to go to the 2019 Cherry Car Show in Peqout Lakes on Saturday, weather permitting. If I do not go to that, then I will be going to this show.

I did run into Randy, on the way out, and got to discuss his issues with him . I think I steered him in a direction to deal with his tailgate width. He is going to cut 3 sides of a crossmember he installed, slightly not level and pull the sides together and overlap a sleeve back on the crossmember.

The door gap issue is interesting, as he has replaced the body mounts, like you and I discussed and that's when the gap got worse...headscratch I may run up to his place one day soon and see if I can find anything with that.

Hopefully things work out with Randy and he can solve his issues.  On another front, did you see the 66 regal red convertible with black top and red interior.  Looks like a high dollar restoration and maybe the original block.  Owners name was Jack Stodola, maybe you know him.  Very nice car.  I thought the Chip Foose  rims kind of looked kind of odd.  Maybe this was a TV build?

Yep, I saw the Foose wheels and just kept walking. That is usually an indication of other mods.

Actually the only mods were a brake upgrade of a dual master cylinder with front disc brakes and a rear sway bar added ( i imagined they boxed rear RCA)  Interior was stock with what appeared to be a 66  muncie shifter with no other interio changes that I noticed, even had to correct looking arm rests. An original speedometer lenses, an original am/fm radio.  Engine looked stock, can't remember if it had headers; but all AC stuff was factory except for the drier.  I couldn't see under the Air Cleaner, fuel lines looked legit, and a Harrison radiator.  The car sat a little higher than original  for my tastes and those rims, well.  The top looked to be a high end material, fit real nice and tight.  But a lot of repo parts starting with the grill, PB booster, and a cheap set of valve covers with a sticker that wasn't there in 66  (I just saw a set of used original 66 valve covers for sale $500), wrong radiator cap, wrong PS reservoir cap.  The car deserved a pair of Crane Corvette valve covers and a restored original grill.  Body and paint looked outstanding.
