29th Midwest Regional Chevelle Car Show-Kansas City

All the details are done for the Midwest Regional Chevelle Show (Elky's, Sprints, Chevelle's, and Malibu's) Sept. 23 & 24th being put on in Kansas City by the Mid-America Chevelle Club that I'm in.  This will be one of the biggest ever, as clubs from Omaha/Linclon (Heartland Chevelle Club), Tulsa, Ohio, and Wichita are invited.

Give it some thought and come to the land of Toto and the best BBQ in the Midwest!

I will be there Saturday. Barb and I are going to be in Hamilton MO for a quilt event and she is taking a class in the morning, so I will escape and run down to the show for a few hours...thumbsup

Mitch, that's GREAT!  Let me know if you need my cell number, or if you still have it.  It's the same as when I lived in MN.  You need to call me when you are at the show and I'll be sure to meet up with you!  beers

Was able to connect with Mitch for a few minutes since I was helping the show.  Thanks Mitch for coming down and enjoying the Chevelle heaven!  beers

Here's a link to the pics of the 160 Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino/Wagons that came from Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and even one from Florida:  Link to Pics  Enjoy the Chevelle goodness!

Next year's show is in Omaha, so an hour even closer to the Twin Cities.  You guys need to think about a road trip!  nana

Having Hinshaw's on site was a double edged sword. They put a new catalog in my hand and I ended up going back for a few parts I needed. Not an expense I had planned on but I saved shipping costs..thumbsup They plan to be in Omaha next year also.

I talked with James about the two tone Fawn interior paint and he told me he has the codes for mixing them. I will be ordering a dash pad from him soon and getting the codes to paint the interior.

Some amazing cars. The sun must have been perfect for photography or a lot of wax used to obtain the shine. I have never seen so many after market wheels on a group of Chevelles. Thanks for sharing stan.

Weather was perfect both days other than being abnormally hot and humid (Mitch can vouch for the humidity).  But mostly, the cars were just really nice and shiny!

The blue '70 SS with white top was a numbers matching LS6/4 speed car, and there was also a 33K mile survivor '66 Malibu that was a high school teacher's car most it's life (other than storage for 40 years...).  So, some pretty cool car stories too.

MCR ~ 2016 ~ Kansas City, KS.

We had 50 cars in the poker run around KC Speedway, so that was fun to help wrangle between the 4 of us that paced the run and handed out the playing cards.  I have pics, but can't seem to get them downloaded to my laptop, so will add those later.

I thought Jim L. was there when I saw this one:

Oh... my '71 has stock 5 spokes, so mine weren't aftermarket.  razz

Oh yes, it was humid down there. Saturday of the show wasn't too bad, but Thursday and Friday were 90° and 90% humidity...whew

My favorite...Aztec Bronze with Fawn interior...cool

300 Deluxe for Chris P

'66 row...notworthy

Nice 300, small block with a 4 speed just like what mine is going to be. Though it looks to have Malibu interior in it but still nice to see one that is not been made into a race car.

No, it had carpet. You can see it in my interior pic. Like Chris said, the seats were Malibu material and pattern as well. The 300 series seat material isn't very attractive.
