I talked to them today. They are good to go. Power Cruise said the same thing. I guess when they asked for volunteers they got a bunch. Loren you can ride shot gun with me for some laps. My Velle is ready to go! Gonna change the oil this weekend, check all fluids and give it a good wax. Going to trailer it up though. Haven't been tent camping in like 20 years.

Burned almost an entire tank of gas today! The weather was great. It is a lot of fun running around the track. Working the heck out of those 4 wheel drum brakes, but they were solid all day.

May cost me a set of tires this weekend.

i saw Gearlube on the track, but have not talked to him yet. Maybe tomorrow.

A post on FB says that our "Gearlube" dumped a bunch of gearlube, trans "sounds crunchy" and is going home on a stretcher... something broke.

I've heard from a few others that PowerCruise 2015 has had a few mechanical mayhems.

Whatever... that's what we build them for - DRIVE 'EM!!

Wish I was there, but I wouldn't trade the last 48 hours for anything.

Hey Chris. In 16C. PM me tomorrow

Car is now in Rosemount at Master Trans. Hope to have the master look at it next week. Hoping its a seal or something easy

I talked to the track official. I have some of the details. 5 blown engines including a Camaro we saw tonight at the burnouts nuke his LS. Several drive shafts launched. 3 tranmissions and several axels from the drifters smashed. So I don't feel bad as I went home on a stretcher. Still having a great time though!!!

Mercia!!!

Sorry to hear about your transmission Tom. I blew a heater hode tee for the intake bypass and dumped all my coolant, luckily right by the exit of the road course. I am in camping spot I4.  I only brought the Camaro this year. John the guy who blew the motor in the burnouts you know he has the Green Gen4 Camaro.  He was in the burnout last year, you know him through A neighbor or something if I remember right.

Got some great pictures of Gearlube's car before the malfunction.

Came home early today to avoid cabin traffic. What a great time, I have some cleaning to do before the Malibu goes to bed tonight.  Mechanically it performed well.  I will be going over it as time allows this week.

Thanks Chris. REALLY appreciate the pics. Enjoyed hanging with and taking to Chris and Loren. I must say Loren's Camaro is really cool. The setup is sweet...
Chris has one of the cleanest Chevelle's I have seen in a while.

Hoo Hoo... that'd be Shawn. He just got done (11th hour effort) getting that engine into the car! I'm guessing it was just his time - to say he's a bit "hard on machinery" would be kind.

Good news! The Chevelle is fixed. However one never wants to be a first for someone with 30 years of experience. the cap on the governor just popped off. No reason. It was siliconed on when he installed it as that is the normal procedure. I guess the th350's have a wire that goes over the cover. It popped and luckily when I did I was moving so there was pressure sucking in the governor so it stayed it. No damage internally as I didn't run it dry. John from master transmission fixed it under warranty. He also borrowed a pin from a th350 to reinforce it. New fluid as well. He also adjusted my tv cable and it really made the shift points much better. It's really rare you find shops that take care of us car guys. I did give him some teasing crap about it being bullet proof. Course he gave it right back...just a great guy and would never go anywhere else.

Yeah.. there's a "bail clip" like on a brake master cylinder on those. Wierd how it could've popped off - you usually have to pry them (like a brake master... dunno).

Glad there's no damage other than to your pride razz but at least it happened on the track!!... not puttputting around the Fairgrounds footmouth!

john told me on the 700r4 they don't use the bail clips but only silicone the cap on. It still should not have come off as he stated. However he grabbed one off a th350 and put one on as insurance

You can brag that all the HP and torque overpowered the silicone...notworthy
