1966 LED tail lights

I got a call from a manufacturer I talked to last year at Car Craft. They were working on LED tail lights for Chevelle's. They now have them for 1966-1973...nana

Not just LED, but 6 pattern sequential. They are coming to Street Machine Nationals and will bring sets with to sell there. They are bringing a set for me. The cost is $160 CASH, show special. After that the price goes to $185.

She said they have vids on YouTube but I didn't look them up. If you want a set for your year car, call them to have a set brought to the show.

Yes, that's the company. I bought a set for my Camaro but haven't gotten to install them yet.

Gotta say, the stock '66 tail lights are really small and not very bright... so any upgrade is a good thing.  I followed a '66 Chevelle last Saturday driving to the club picnic, and we had a couple of too close for comfort encounters when he braked and we could barely see his tail lights in the sun.  hyper  And I wasn't following that close either.  razz

I'm really glad I upgraded to the Easy Performance LED tail lights, as I've gotten a number of comments how fast reacting and bright they are.  Lots of compliments on the sequential turning feature too from other club members that were following me.

That is the very reason I want the LED's. When my Dad bought a '66 new, we were rear-ended 3 times in the car in the first few years...rolleyes

I like sequence 4 for the turn signals..thumbsup

Just got an email from Easy Performance.  I didn't check on the street machine nationals price as I won't be able to attend.  Looks like you will need a different flasher, that they also sell for $20.  Looks to be an easy install with no screws.  They want $185 plus S&H of $13.00.  I wonder if they charge the MN sales tax for online orders and also at the SMN's?

$160 cash at the show (no MN tax) would seem to be a good price.  Would you be willing to pick up a set for a member if they paypal you in advance?

If you leave the front signals as incandescent, you most likely don't need the electronic flasher. If you do, the flashers can be bought at any auto store locally.

Send me a check and I'll get a set for you. Email them back to request they have a set with your name on it, or they may sell out.

Perhaps Jim. You could just pay the company directly and have someone from the club pick it up for you?

Mitch. Easy Performance owes you a commission. I decided to order a set of lights for the 66 at the show as well.

Cool, I'll get right on that.

I installed mine and they are WAY cool !!  I don't have any way to take a vid, but they light up sequentially from the inside to out. There are 6 patterns but I like that one the best. They even do that for the brake function.

And they are much brighter than 1 bulb !

They have a cool set for the '62 Impala too but I will wait till next year for that.
