Wondering which is the better type of spring removal/installation tool.  The spring pliers type of the type where the spring slides along the bar.  Thanks

I like my pliers style, because you can open it up and get more leverage on the end to twist the springs off.

I did post in your other thread that NAPA has a nice pliers style for $9.....dunno

Thanks again.  Our napa store, since its in a small town, doesn't have any on hand.  Will take your recommendation on the pliers style.

This is the one you want... Snap-On 131A

It combines all of the gizmo's (save one) into one handy-dandy tool.

The other one you may need is the shoe holddown remover B1356E

With both of these tools you'll never cuss-out a brake spring again. I've had both for over 20 years.
