There are a few different style adjustable valves, what style valve do you have? The style I have seems to be the common I have seen a lot of others have, clockwise increases pressure and counterclockwise decreases. So in a sense, the other way around from what your saying. Clockwise on mine will increase pressure to engage the rears sooner.

Thats the same one I have too then. I think thats the most popular valve out there. Classic case of a single manufacturer that sells to multiple dealers and the dealer just puts their logo on it. Mine came from Classic Tube.

That's also the same type I have on my Bel-Air, but it's been about 15 years since I adjusted that one. I'm sure I'll find out, but wanted to start with lower pressure and work up. I guess I'll crank it all the way counterclockwise to start with. Thanx Chris.

I would start with turning it all the way one direction, and all the way the other then going back to find the center, and drive the car and see how it feels from there. I actually didnt have to adjust mine at all out of the package, installed it and bled the system and felt no need to make any adjustments. But that was my expierence, your results may vary.

Well, I turned it in all the way and out all the way and was not able to lock the rear brakes at all. I think I now know why my brother got such a good deal on it. This was on our Chump Car race car. Even with this non working valve, the new Cobra brakes worked awesome and we were able to out brake 90% of the cars at Brainard this past Sat. I'll have to try a new valve.
