I have been trying to get my spring yard and house chores done and finally got some time to get the car cleaned up. When I was finishing up I saw the reflection of my neon sign in the hood and figured I have enough compound, polish and wax on it for this year.

We should start a "No Teasing" clause on this forum.... "Blackie" is still under wraps at Mom's.

I've got 350 miles on the vert since installing the new engine/trans a few weeks ago.  I need to change the oil at 500 miles, so hopefully will put a few more miles on this weekend!

JD time to get Blackie out from under the winter slumber.  I know it is tough with your garage redo though.

'tween the garage ceiling redo, and the influx of 2 more vehicles in the compound (school's out, kids home, & work truck) "Blackie" just may stay at Mom's this summer... I'll have to go there and get him when the need persists...

"El" and ending in "o" in spanish is the masculine, "La" or ending in an "a" is the feminine.

So it must be a he.

And that completes our Spanish language class for the day. Male or female, regardless of national origin it's time to get it out.

Well seeing as I've got a Spanish Language major getting her degree in a week, AND marrying an Ecuadorian to boot - I'd better brush up on my Espanol if I wanna talk to my future grandkids!! razz

Well let me see, it is not El Blackie or La Blackie and Blackie doesn't end in an o or an a, so how do we determine gender? Maybe it is a ??, I guess I shouldn't got there. tsktsk

I think Jon is getting at it's a half and half vehicle, hasn't really committed to being one or another.

Met some other car folks from work this morning for breakfast at Little Oscar's in Hampton, and it was a good drive, and good eats.  Now if we could only string together a few weeks of this kind of weather.  It doesn't look good again for this week... cold and rainy.  rant2

Some pretty cool cars to hang out with.  The '69 stang just got out of paint jail and has a 400+ HP stroker 347.  The '71 Chevelle has a new Blueprint Engines 383 that is over 400 hp as well.  And the '64 Malibu is a true SS (other than the addition of the cowl hood) that was a barn find a few years ago for $3500!
