Well figured out my ignition issue that wouldn't allow me to go past 4000 RPM. Turned out to be major signs of carbon tracking inside the distributor cap. Changed out the distributor to a MSD Streetfire, and runs good now. So then I moved on to trying to get the shift points dialed in on my 200-4R. I had noticed that it was starting out in 2nd gear all the time. So I took it out for some runs to see where it shifts. After several adjustments and tearing up the back roads, I decided to move to another road so locals didn't call the cops on me. Turned a corner and hear a belt squealing sound, smelt burning belt, Burt noticed my charging gauge needle was not visible? Made one more adjustment and saw the alternator pulley was discolored? Went home and checked voltage at battery. 17.7v, looks like time for a voltage regulator now?
