Getting ready to try my hand at a vehicle wrap. Hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew.

The guys on ThirdGen.Org nailed it with this stuff! Start with a fresh paint job and keep changing every few years if you desire. This Camaro looks so bad a$$ done in this wrap I was shocked. Getting tired of the flat black scene untill I saw this car done.

I've been thinking about wrapping my car too... it would be a lot cheaper than a repaint and could be changed frequently enough to keep things fresh and different every few years. Sometimes I wish my car was dark blue, or orange, or red, or gray, or....

What do they do about the jambs though? dark neutral color paint so you don't notice them?

The guy in the shop next t mine does car wraps, I have seen more advertiseing type graphics and circle track cars over there. Never seen a standard paint job type wrap. I know he says he does them, I just haven't seen any. He does a nice job of what I have seen, have no idea what he charges but seems real busy. Might have to look into it on a project I'm thinking about.headscratch

I didn't go "whole hog" with wrap, but I did use wrap product on the B & C pillars on Green Mary. Went from body color to satin black.
I was amazed at the conformity/stretch/etc of the film! Neat stuff. It's been on for nearly 3 years and looks as good as day one.

Got the stuff from Fellers. They have a distribution whse in Eden Prairie near 169 & Valley View. What was cool is you didn't have to be a "installer/shop" - I was able to open an account with an address and CC.
