I have the interior apart on my '69 to adjust the windows.  I was looking at a post on Team Chevelle tonight and it said there were window crank springs only on the front window cranks, not the rear quarters window cranks.  Does anyone know if this is correct?  I think the '69 through '72 are all the same.  I have always had a hard time putting my rear window cranks back on, maybe it is because they don't have the tension springs in the rear.  (and yes you can compress them enough to fit.)  49771?AWSAccessKeyId=1XXJBWHKN0QBQS6TGPG2&Expires=1373760000&Signature=AE1TCQNgV0DuWhyDe7lUGtGN4I4%3D

Describe what you mean by "having a hard time"... usually it's the other way around - having the springs in place makes it more difficult to get the cranks to snap on.

(BTW - the retainer clips should be installed on the cranks with the open end/prongs facing towards the knob)

What I was referring to was trying to use the coil spring on the back windows and having difficulty compressing the spring and door panel enough to get the handle on.  I have been provided a copy of the body manual showing the spring is not used on the rear windows and most people agree.
