Drove by the local gas station in Rosemount, and gas was $4.16/gallon!!!

Did I miss us going to war, a major hurricane in the gulf, or North Korea launching something?  dunno

NO, the refinery decided to do maintenance and cut production so supply is short. It's $4.19/9 up here. We should all park every car in the metro for the entire weekend and let the supply build up and screw them back.....angry

they knew everyone is driving this weekend, it was actually 2 northern refineries that have cut. They do the maintenance at the time they switch over to summer blended gas. I suppose you already have to clean lines, tanks, etc so they're already far enough along to cut production and get it done. I think it normally hits earlier in the year too, but the later winter probably prolonged it until now.

Just got back from my chiro in Vadnais Heights. Supersteal America is now at $4.29/9 gallon. I haven't bought gas from those crooks for 20 years because they are always the first to screw us and raise it the highest. It has been their pattern for a LONG time.

I don't plan to drive anymore than absolutely necessary until the price comes down...bs

No tours, no cruises...they can keep their liquid gold and I'll keep my money...boxing

This is somewhat localized and gas may be less in the nothern 1/3rd of the state. Bring a couple 5 gallon cans with in the trunk to fill too...cool

I was kinda thinking it would be lower along the way ..........usually is until past Fargo on into to Minneapolis .starts to go up ..........truck towing trailer is no gas miser and with my luck will pbly have a headwind all the way I will be buying alot of gas plus the high amount of ethanol you guys have in your gas hurts mileage really notice it once I run out of our gas

Fill up in Grand Forks or Fargo. Grand Forks gets less travel and sometimes has a better price. ND gas is usually lower priced than MN. Once here, look for non-oxygenated premium. If it's just a nickle or so more, you'll make that back on the mileage.

I have to laugh about the headwind. When I was running semi to ND and back, I would fight a wind on the way up and the next day it would shift and I'd fight it home again..angry  Never could win that battle...rolleyes

So I'm having crazy thoughts of buying a large kiddie pool, throwing it in the back of the pickup, driving to Des Moines, filling it up with $3.50 gas, covering it up with a tarp and driving back home.  How red neck is that of me!!!  cuckoo laughing

The redneck way would be to buy a bunch of gallons of milk at the corner convenience store, dump them out, then drive down there and fill them up.
