Transplant benefit for a friend of mine's daughter 1/19

There is a benefit coming up on January 19th for Joe Brynteson's daughter. Her name is Addy Brynteson and she has Aplastic Anemia. Her story and how it is being cured is very touching and I'm asking that everyone in the club please make a donation to thier fight. The Children's Organ Transplant Association (COTA) has set up a website for donations. The benefit is at Mac and Chesters SRO (Standing room only) in Oak Grove nad starts at 4pm. I know that the Bowtie Brunch is also that day, but if you could find it in your hearts to make a donation or even make the trip up, it would be awesome. There will be an auction and with all the buzz, I expect the palce to be filled and going until closing time.

Addy's story has been such a big deal that many of the local news organizations have covered it, including Channel 4 news.

Addy's transplant has taken well, and she's been making her own cells since Christmas time. Unfortunately, the bills are still there to be paid. All the daily transfusions add up, and the transplant itself is expensive. Don't forget things like all the gas to get to the hospital and eating while down there become overwhelming quickly.

If you don't know who Joe is, he's been involved with drag racing for longer than I have known him. I met Joe when we were both working at Friendly in the mid-1990s. He's got an 8 second street legal Chevy II Nova and was midway through a streetable Chevy II wagon build when this came about. Both are low-buck and garage built by himself. He now works for an accessory company and I still do business with him a lot. Joe is the guy who let me borrow a bunch of drag slicks for sizing my wheels, and decided I could keep a set since he was getting new ones anyway. Didn't have to, he just thought it would be nice. His brother Steve and his father also are into drag racing, Steve's car is quite quick too, and I remember Joe telling me about when his dad Bob brought home an orange 9 second '68 Chevelle that was (if I remember correctly) one of the early competitors in the Fastest Street Car Challenge.

Please help.
