If it were further South, I'd consider buying it to just have some fun for cheap with my SS car.

Glad to help you spend your money Mitch.

Is it as advertised?  Did he move on price?

I was hoping it was a 3 series carrier with a spacer but it is a 4 series. Everything inside looks as new, since he had it assembled 20 years ago and NEVER installed it...dunno The brakes are all rusted and seized but I don't care about that. I'll probably watch for someone who wants to trade a 3 series carrier for a 4. They pop up on Team Chevelle occasionally. OR, I may do like Derek said and throw it under the '66 next summer and make a few passes...nana

You can get 3.73 gears for a 4 series carrier to make it a little more street friendly.

There was a guy out near Shakopee or that area that had a rebuilt Eaton 3 series for sale on craigslist a couple of months ago for what I thought was an OK price.  I think around $225.

I did a search over the weekend to see if there was anything out there and came up blank. He either sold it or hasn't renewed the ad.
