Rick's car in Car Craft magazine . . .

I always glance through my car magazines when they come in the mail but don't always take the time to read them carefully until some time later. Anyway, I picked up the December issue of Car Craft last night and was looking at the article on this year's CC Summer Nationals. The two-page spread at the beginning of the article had a picture of Miss General Tire riding in the back seat of a red convertible. I didn't think too much about it until this morning when I was on the NCC website and was looking at some of the pictures that John has posted of club events. I was on this page . . .

. . . when I thought the interior of Rick's car looked like the one I had seen in CC. So I took a closer look at this picture . . .

. . . and concluded that it HAD to be Rick's car on pages 60-61 of the magazine. The white interior, dash and cowl hood all match in the magazine and the website pictures.

Maybe I missed any mention of this in the forum but if not, you should check it out. There's a picture on page 40 of the contraption that the CC photographer mounted on the trunk of the car in order to take the picture. Since CC borrowed Rick's car, I'm sure Rick and the others who attended the Summer Nationals realized that a picture might make into the magazine. (Of course, the "Best Chevrolet" award is also mentioned in the article.)

One last question -- is that Rick behind the wheel or did CC have to substitute one of its staff members as the "stunt driver"?

OOPS -- one more question -- Rick, you mentioned that your brother helped with a lot of the work on your car. Is that him in the picture installing the seats?

Yes, it is our car. The guy driving it is my twin brother and he is the same person in the photo putting the interior in it. I never noticed the photo on page 40, thanks for pointing it out.
