Took most of my money, but hard to get the smile off my face. Reminds me of when I drove the 65 home for the first time. aknana

Congrats Dan! Shannan would be very jealous if she saw that.

Exercised the heck out of my rights today.  Broke in the XD at a friends cabin out in the woods. Eerily calming and relaxing with the quiet of the woods and the noise of the shooting. dunno

Good Stuff... at least you don't have to suffer the humiliation of having your 17yo son KICK YOUR AZZ with his 1st mag through the pipe on a new gun....

John Jr. sent a target downrange this am, did a few "dry-fires" with my new 1911, clicked in a mag, and blew the 10-ring out of a 4" @ 10 yards. (Goddam "under 40 eyeballs!")

Never seem to get by with one of anything. (two Chevelles, garages, lifts, houses etc) cuckoo So bought this as a "plinker". Grips a lot like the XDm, but with a longer trigger pull. aknana Now all I have to do is find 22lr ammo.doh Anybody know of any sources? Everybody says the market should "open up soon"

NICE!! - Ruger was #2 in my showdown for a primary carry-piece. The longer trigger pull was something I just didn't "like" with the Rugers... Grips are great, balance, feel, everything, but the pullingpullingpullingpullingpulling-CLICK is what steered me to the Springfield. (Nothing against the gun, I just prefer a short-travel trigger.)

Once the "hoarding" wave collapses and the scare is over things should get back to "normal". (Only a few months ago you could buy 10, 500rd-tubs of 22lr at the corner bait shop!...) I hope it's soon - this is BS!

Oh, one thing on your XDm... on the top of the square-part of the barrel (where the eject-port/window of the slide is)... put a light smear of oil on there when you're going to "exercise your rights" and do a few hundred. When it recoils/cycles it is a scuff-point, and the bluing/black oxide finish of mine has worn off. (Don't think it's a warranty claim after 2k+ rounds... thumbsup)

Nice Dan!  I just shot my M&P .22 for the first time yesterday after getting it the week before.  I was able to buy some ammo with the gun purchase.  Fortunately for me I have enough .22 rounds to last awhile.  Now if I could only get my hands on some more 9mm!
