Well MAYBE  everone on here doesn't have the $$$$$ you & gearlube have to spend right now either. Which is a bummer for most. Seeing that the Hoildays are coming up sooner then you think. I mean Thanksgiving is a like 12 days from today. Then in a month it's Christmas. So maybe after the 1st of the yr things will pick up or maybe around the Christmas party. The site will pick up also. Hope so. Hope I'm not boring everyone with the morning blogs. But it away to say Hello every Morning and see whats going on. It would be cool if more of you would stop in there and at least say hello or Good morning .  its done on another site i'm on and works out great there. Thats why I tried it on here. But I don't see me stopping the blog anytime soon. ....So deal with it. I thought to myself when I 1st started it. That there would be more PARTICIPATION  But it works for me right now. I don't mind being like the morning news paper . Hey have a great day. No matter what your doing. Just do something

I had a dream that someone finished their project.

 

 

The Chevelle is "similar" to my car in that it has the same hood and the same wheels. However, it's different in a number of ways including:

1 year newer

roll bar

no wiper blades (I have wiper blades but no motor to run them)

color (mine is red but looks orange in some photographs)

this is an original BB car (my BB is through a heart transplant)

although my wheels are also Weld Draglites these are narrower in the front and wider in the rear

Not a model, it is the November car in the ROAD WARRIORS 2013 calendar. I picked it up at The Carburetor Shop on White Bear Ave in Maplewood. I will be back there next week, I will check and see if he has some left.

I took the stripes off the left side of my car last week. Maybe tomorrow I will do the right side. Then I will think about and eventually get around to clay bar'ing the body. After that I will get up the gumption to try and buff it shiny. Then comes deciding on paint for the new hood and the white roof.

My budget is $10 a week, so not too much is going to get done for a while.

See Stan Their alive  So stop buggin Them. They have work to do

I won't be without a Model T for very long if it sold... I know I'd have some pretty upset little boys for a while.

I'm planning a tour for the T club next year, so I kind of need to have one that runs.

I have been working on my 59 Nomad wagon, hopefully i will be priming it fairly soon.

I did decide to keep my Chevelle here for the winter (the daily driver will have to bear the cold in the driveway) so i can do some work on it this winter.

Nothing to major for now, maybe a new carb and intake, valve covers, maybe even install the gas tank i got from Stan (which is how i learned about the club).
then i might as well do the trunk floor.
and while in at it the rear fenders.
and the doors.
and the front fenders, and the ....this is basically how the current CAC project started.
oh well, it was so warm out that Cheryl and i put the top down and went for a cruise, not bad for the 10th of November.

i'm nearing the 2 year mark on "just repacing the rusty trim above the rear window" on the wagon.

it is why i keep trying no to do anything on the convert that has the potential to start the baal rolling down toward the.

keeping it here over the winter could prove to be risk behavior, fortunatly the shop really only has room for one car that is in pieces.

Been lurking lately. Working like a dog on the garage. Not exactly a car project but car related. Need to finish it up before I even consider working on the cars. I'll post about it if you're interested.

I think you nailed it with everyone getting into hunker-down mode, and the politics...

I've been tinkering with my latest acquisition... looking at a new set of grips and a trigger.

All stainless - "Loaded"

Great story behind this... Belonged to a cop friend of mine, who's in the tail end of a nasty divorce. She got herself an obnoxiousy large/spendy ring, he just wanted a simple gold band. She didn't think this was fair, so she asked "what would you really want..." and it was this gun - a Springfield 1911.

But it wasn't really this gun, he didn't want stainless, or this, that, the other thing, but a very specific model/build. When she went to order/buy it, she saw that the higher end model(s) were only a few hundred more, so she got this one (not the one he wanted) because it was "fancier". So this thing has been a sore point from day one... then when she wanted it back or 1/2 the purchase price in the settlement it got uglier.

He didn't want it anymore, everytime he looked at it or the case it ****ed him off, so he sold it to me - for less than 1/2 of the average used price - and gave her the cash to shut her up.

Totally sweet for the price. I've always wanted a 1911 - they are just the "classic" semi-auto that everything else is patterned after or has improved on.
