It's also interesting to read some of the comments that people leave on the "Find of the Day."

If you're talking specifically about the COPO 9562 package L72 427 cars, then no... no convertibles.

If any convertibles were ordered with non-standard Chevelle colors, then they would have technically been run through COPO. I don't know if there were any, but it's not that unlikely.

Seller claims it's a COPO ???  It is just a run of the mill RPO Z25 car. The COPO cars had L72 427's in them and were NOT built on an SS platform. They have no SS badging. Some very deceptive selling going on in my opinion...bs

It's worded like the seller thinks any option was COPO rather than RPO.

Not all COPO cars were special high-performance though. Special order paint colors and fleet vehicles like police cars went through COPO. I don't think there's anything about that triple black L34 SS that would require a COPO order.

Ive never heard of any convertibles going through COPO either. Not only that, but this car doesnt look like anything unusual from any other L34 convert. Paint and interior colors are both regular production options as well as the drivetrain. There would be absolutely no reason to order a car like this through COPO. Not when you could walk into the dealer and tell them you wanted a 350HP triple black SS396 convertible and filled out the proper paperwork with the dealership salesman.

The only unique thing this car has is the fact that it was built in Oshwa and you get the privledge of factory documentation. IMO, thats a good value but not necessarily to the point of 125K.
