By May I might know if I'm going to swap out the front springs for coil overs in the '38 and fish for a good deal...thumbsup

I can't even believe this.

I miss the April meeting (even though it was really close to my house) because I had to go to Milwaukee to pick up a new (used) car and drive it home.

Then I see the date for May is the 18th at QA1. I have some good pals at QA1 who really helped me with my car. I'm proud to run their stuff, since it's worked so well for me.

Naturally, my wife made plans for one weekend this year- and it's the 18th. We are going to Illinois for a rescued beagle get-together. She has been wanting to go to this event for the last couple years, so we're going.

I miss you guys! LOL!

I believe I'm out too, I wanted to go there since I missed last time too. It's the traveling basketball season end tournament and there's 3 games that day.

You can take my car. It's not a vert but it is a shade of blue.

Thanks for the offer Tim, but I'm afraid I might have too much fun driving it and shifting through the gears that I might start having thoughts of cashing in the 401K just to live in the moment!

I guess I'll bring this one instead that I got as a birthday present razz:

I think I might be able to make this one.

Mapquest says to take exit 81 (CR-70) off of I35.  Is that the exit with the McDonalds and Holiday station?

 Yep, the McStop exit.

Well, I was planning on going but only if I have enough gas in the tank to make the trip. I REFUSE to pay $4.40+ for gas.

We'll be there but we're driving the econo car. :(

Huge FU to the gas companies who cooked up this ridiculous price gouge.

Thanks to everyone that made it to the meeting, Chad for lining it up, and Dave and Damian (sp?) at QA1 that spent a couple of hours of their Saturday afternoonn giving the tour and suspension advice!  beers

It was a great turnout considering the crappy weather and the far southern metro location.  The Long Hauler award goes to Bill from Manitoba, Canada.  Thanks Bill for taking the time to come to the meeting, and my apologies again for missing you during the New Member intro of the meeting.  Must be that 'seasoned' brain of mine... clonk

And thanks to new members Dan and our 'freshest' young member Steven and his Dad Scott (I think it was Scott, apologies if I forgot that too...) for attending.  Sounds like Dan has a gorgeous '67 SS Chevelle, and we all had lots of free advice for Steven and he's now connected to our resident '65 Elky expert for guidance and parts.  thumbsup

Bryan, John D took pics, so I'm sure he will be uploading and posting them soon for the newsletter.  If anyone would like to send Bryan a short writeup on the QA1 tour, feel free.  I'll try to put some thoughts down as well.

Check out the new post I added regarding needing June meeting location ideas for Sat. June 15th, and let us know your thoughts.

Thanks!

Stan

Really enjoyed the tour. Great to see a MN company doing well and expanding despite the idiots at the state and federal levels doing their best to kill the economy.

K, be careful, if you keep talking like that you're going to get in big trouble. Or worst yet you'll have the IRS on your doorstep, have your phone and email records seized then they will link you to this club and we will all be getting kicked in the ba!!s and put under the hot lights.

I apologize for being late, I picked up some overtime and got stuck there late unfortunately, so I didn't get to the meeting on time.  I did sneak in the back door and joined the tour midway thru.  I had an opportunity to meet a couple of you, maybe more of you at the next meeting.  Thanks!  I enjoyed the information that they had to share.
