I was hoping to make it out, but it was too cold to drive the Model T and I didn't want to dig out the winter coats and hats quite yet for the kids... we stayed home and watched the neighbors combine beans around our house instead.

Did you have your dust masks on ??  We went to Omaha last weekend and there was a LOT of dust flying from all the picking along the way.

That dust in the atmosphere is what creates those extraordinary red fall sunsets.

No masks, but we rode around on the 4-wheeler, staying out of the dust as much as possible, and so the boys could see things better.

Got some tractor rides too. :)

I thought that was from all the smoke from the millions of acres of timber burning out west.

sorry could not make it Jim. I never knew you went to the Eagles club. Perhaps next year. I have not been there for many years. Does Sandy and can not remeber the other gals name still run it ? It all started at Sandy Point then they closed up and moved to Eagles in Roch. We went there a few times when they moved then it got harder with the kids.
I think this Sat is the last day in Pine Island. I will try to go to that, but we have a ton of stuff going on.

Hey, I can make it to that one! I thought they were done already, but checked their schedule, and sure enough, there's one more left. Easy drive in the Model T too...nana

I'll see you there.

Yes Saturday is the last one in PI.  I have a funeral in Winsted on Saturday, so I may not make it.

Regarding the Eagles, that is the Jeff Hansen Memorial show, every Wed.  They were passing out flyers for next year allready.  It use to be sometimes refered to as the Elks; but the Elks sold  the building and grounds to the Eagles a Couple of years ago.

The Sandy Point was a different show and was move to someplace on the north side of Rochester.  Not the same show and maybe no longer continued.

It has 3 pedals, and none of them make it go any faster. :)

Had a lot of fun. Seems like a pretty nice show... gonna have to try getting to it more often, since it's only 7 miles away.
