Anyone have something better than Photobucket for editing pics?

Anyone have better internet storage/photo editing than Photobucket?

They changed their editing software, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to edit pics and save them.  I did a search, and it appears everyone else is having the same problem, and aren't happy with PB.

Any other programs out there that are user friendly?  All I usually use it for is to blur out or erase part of the pic like license plates.  headscratch

I never used thier del for editing, but I have a problem adding more albums to my existing account. I'm not even near the max space either. Can you use a redeye thing and screw up the pic over the plate some? I have something called ULead, but it's not that good either. I need photoshop or one of those programs but I'm too cheap to buy it.

What other photohosting sites do people use?

PB switched to an editor called Pixlr.  Here's a thread showing other people having the same problem I do.  http://support.photobucket.com/entries/21387702-why-won-t-the-editor-save-my-photos

I'm able to make edits to the pics, but not able to save them...

I've used Webshots for 10 years...not a lot of editing options but they do have some.

http://www.webshots.com/

There is also fquick, which is popular with car enthusiasts. I found it hard to navigate...

I use free version of "image optimizer" from XAT.com

Works great for resizing, cropping, and compressing to file sizes that work well for regular internet use where being able to blow it up huge without losing clarity isn't required.

No problem uploading Rick, it's only when I try to edit them that it isn't working.

When I am feeling lazy I use IrfanView to edit and save pictures as it is super easy. I can help you on the phone if you like after you download it and play around a bit.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_irfanview/

This is their actual website, http://www.irfanview.com/

I suggest getting the plugins too.

Otherwise, Gimp is a Photoshop equivelant but not for the faint of heart.

I use Flickr and it's good. I also have Photoshop for more serious stuff, but the editor on Flickr is fine for basic edits.
