Cool pics Bryan!  I think you caught the spent casing right above Jon's 9mm when I shot it!

Thank You to Jon (& Bonnie) for hosting this event!! It was GREAT!

Between John Jr. & I we put at least 300+ rounds downrange, in .22, .32, .38, 9mm, and .45... He's still grinning from that last clip cool

A big thanks to the other members that let us shoot some of their guns - I've been looking and now know what I like and feels good.

All good things must come to an end... I'll be cleaning for awhile tonight!

Thanks Jon and Bonnie for hosting the meeting and putting together the range shooting!  I had a great time and it had been over 30 years since I'd shot a shotgun, and today was a blast!  thumbsup

I'm sure Bryan will post better pics, but here's a couple I snapped:

I hope everyone had as good a time today as I did. Thanks to everyone for their safe shooting and sharing of firearms, ammunition and skills. I didn't get much shooting in but it was fun to watch everyone and offer a little help to those new to handguns. I was especially proud of our two young shooters who were very safety consiouns and exibited excellent knowledge of firearms and marksmanship skills A real credit to their upbringing.

A COLLECTION OF OUR SPENT ROUNDS. Yes, that's a smallish shtgun shell from the 2 shot pocket unit shown above. This is what Jon had mentioned about the pistol shooting a shotgun shell.

Some of my targets. I was at about 10-12 yards, shooting a .22 revolver for these. I used ones that had 4 smaller circles at each corner and one large center one, usually shooting 7 at each corner and basically wasting the main one as best I could. The small + circles are 4.25" across with the white sections being 1/2" wide each. The larger centers have a 1.25" green center circle and the orange squares are 1". The main center orange ring is 4" across. he little orange center is 3/8". I thought I did pretty damn good.

Several handfuls of shooting with double action:

A mix of 9mm and .22:

My favorite, less than a 2" spread including one right up the 11hole. This was one of the 2 targets I had up on the first round of firing. I could tell over time sighting and trigger fatigue were starting to settle in.

Shannan and I are ready for the next similar event.  She has one of her own now thanks to the interest last years event instilled in her.  I have a couple new items of my own to try out.
