Don't bother shoveling. I like punishing myself with manual labor like that and I only did enough for each car to back out to the street. It's some HEAVY stuff.

I think we got 4-5" in Rosemount.  The end of the driveway had about 2' of the wet heavy pile from the snow plow.  Man, what a workout shovelling that stuff!  hyper

Down here in Kato, we got nothing. Maybe and I mean maybe, we got 1/2 inch? It's all gone today.

I also heard today (while doing my route-word of mouth) that we might get hit in the next few days to the tune of 7-12 inches. Anyone else heard this? I haven't heard anything on the radio.

Big storm raging in the Pacific that is expected to get here on Sunday. They don't really know a track yet and it could pass to the North, according to Patrick Hammer this morning. As long as it doesn't get here early and screw up the demo here on Saturday.

I guess the state patrol issued a statement for folks to be carefull on the roads this weekend, they are also expecting this big snowstorm on sunday as well. Every story I have heard so far says the same thing, could be around 12 inches.

I am going to have Fred redo my bucket seats hopefully this year.  I don't want to spend any money on the interior yet until I get the car back on the road.  I am hoping that the expenses to get it drivable will be minimal and that I will have the funds left over to finish the interior work I want to complete as well.

Here we go... heard this a.m. on the radio that the metro could get up to 12-15" between Tues. and Wed. afternoons.  And... could be freezing rain first.  I figured we'd get some good ones in March, and it's close enough.  rant2

Looks like I'll work from home on Wed. since I don't have any meetings in the office.

FINALLY, some collision work. It's been REALLY slow with the collision side of what I do. Guys I normally talk to several times a day are becoming strangers. One Abra store had 2 cars on friday and both were leaving.

Yeah and a week ago they were predicting a foot for yesterday. What a joke. The next system is still in California. How the heck does anyone know where it's going for sure or how much moisture will be left when it gets here. Seems to me that the forecasters are reaching too far to be the first with the dire news these days. I'll believe it when I see it.

Bryan we have seen a slight slowdown of frame/collision work but are still 5-8 days out on work. We do a LOT of major straightening for other shops. I need to get the HHR in soon and the owner keeps putting me off.

Thats the first thing I thought when I heard it. Ill believe it when I see it snowing tomorrow. These people have no idea what the weather is going to do until they see it coming a few hours before hand.

Looks like this storm is going to be warmer with more rain than snow than originally predicted.  1" of rain expected overnight.  Next week looks great with mid 40's to 50 degrees by the end of the week!  That's they way I like March to be!  dancenana

We are getting alot of rain down here. If the DOT can resist the temptation to salt the Hell out of the roads maybe I might sneak the Trans Am out next week.

Fat chance of that happening. They have mountains stockpiled that they need to use up by summer....rolleyes

6-8 inches of heavy wet stuff, Wife and kids did snow removal. She needed to put air in the tire and I had to bring the blower over to the shed. Well that was all it took and I was back to the couch with a sore back. Just listening to her run the blower, the engine lugging and belts squeeling and she just keeps going on. Yes I love my wife I love my wife just keep saying I love my wife.

We have just had rain and not one salt truck has been seen. I do need to get out and clean up some branches though.

It's been raining hard down here since last night, good thing it's rain instead of snow or we would be buried.

Normally, I check in on here by 8am, just broke free for a second. 3 people out either sick or can't make it in. Plow parts business has been brisk, already getting some crash calls. Took me about 10 extra minutes to get in-not too bad. Power is out in far north burbs in some areas too.

More than 3 hrs for me to get to work today. Brutal...

Going home might be even worse- snow is still falling. I should have just stayed home today but the weather down our way in Scott Co. was okay. Once I hit the cities and points North it got really bad- too late to turn back. Now I'm stuck in it, at work. Bad bad bad..

All we got here in kato is rain and a lot of rain. Ditches are full and small "lakes" everywhere. When I left New Ulm at about 11:00 am, they had about 2 inches and the snow was coming down hard.

Fishing stinks, but the sun is shining after three weeks of fog and mist.  Strange winter weather everywhere.
