This is the first car club picnic for us, so I have a question. Do we need to bring buns, ketchup, etc?

It's basically bring your own food other than an item to share, and we will have a grill going with charcoal to cook the meat that you bring.

This is not only your first picnic, but the club's too (more or less...)  thumbsup

Actually the club did a picnic at the same park 2006. Brad and Derek were presidents then.

Chris,

That was the Weaver lake park. The one Chad has shown is the Elm Creek Park.

For GPS users, the address is:

12400 James Deane Parkway

Maple Grove, MN

Chad and I will be there between 10:30 and 11 a.m. to try to reserve a place for us to park.  Look for the orange and blue '72 Chevelle's!

See you there!thumbsup

FYI for people going to the park

There are three parking lots in that park. The first one is the one Stan has linked. If you keep going, there are two lots at the end of the road...one for picnic sites and the other is the main lot for the park/swimming,etc.

We are in the 2nd parking lot. We have picnic tables at the top of the hill west of the parking.

I was there once before, never even knew they had water until this morning.

Thanks to Chad and Stan for setting up the event, we had a good time. Saw a red 64 ragtop going up 169 right after I had stopped for a gas break. Nice waving at ya!
