Thanks Tony!  Regarding the actual dates, that would make it either the 29th or 15th of June.

I'll talk to Chad about this as we are in the process of getting the 2012 NCC Events together as we speak (even thought he doesn't know it yet razz).

Never took mine apart last winter just so it would be running !!! I did change the shifter, hump and carpet but I forced myself to do that in one day. I'll be there. I've been to the first 2 already with different vehicles.

get there early and parking the chevelle won't be a problem, the truck and trailer might take up an alley though.

Tony,

Maybe we can throw some cones down in front of the parking area and extend a little to the west where Steve parked last year?   headscratch

I think John D. or Pushrod have some club cones?

Plan to be there.  Last  time I ended up being surrounded by motorcycles In the 3rd row.  I think it would be a good idea if you could reserve post down the line to the left.  Let the motorcyles park next to Bryan's trailer.

Pretty much if you have mufflers you could park the trailer in back and slowly idle the car around and park it in front.. If it is straight pipe or open headers it will have to stay on the trailer.

There was a '67 Camaro race only car there last Friday that unloaded in the same spot we are talking about and then moved the tow rig to around the block. No issues with it starting and moving that I saw.

The motorcycles had the entire area behind the corner lot blocked as usual both Friday's I've been there. We moved the barricades out to prevent that last year until the lot was full.

For those of us who have not been there

1. What time?
2. Where do we meet?
3. Fees?

Any other particulars would be helpful.

Thanks

Basically its the Histrycruzers car club Friday night car show in North St.Paul, MN.. The event is open to 1975 and older vehicles and is free.

7th street is the old main town road of North St.Paul, MN .. Its blocked off Friday nights during the summer to allow the event..

As Club of the night we have some additional beneifits and resposibilities.

Someone from the club should be there by 4:30.. We are granted reserve parking in a small concrete lot on the SW corner of 7th and Maragaret streets...We can start parking in this lot at 5PM..

as part being club of the night we take turn monitoring traffic at the intersection.. basically keeping drunks and kids from walking out into traffic by directing them to the crosswalk and keeping cars from trying to drive west on 7th street. (Its one way during event hours).

More information here www.historycruzer.com

Thanks for the info. I might be able to be there early but won't be sure until next Wednesday. My parents live close to North St Paul and I might be there on that Friday afternoon with my 69 if all goes as planned. If you need someone to be there early I would be glad to do it if I finish up my car.

I'm on the fence. My kid's massive birthday party is the next day and we've got folks coming in from out of state to celebrate. I'd planned to bring them with us to N. St Paul, but there will be lots of food prep and setup going on for the party. I'll be expected to hang out and help. I'm trying to convince folks there will be plenty of time Saturday AM to get the yard set up, but it's not going over well.

Sounds like "Guys Night Out" to me..... the women "folk" are much better at food prep than most of us guys anyway. I always tell my "folk/wife" that I help best by staying out of her way....nana

I will be there and then up by 6:15 the next morning to set up the Camaro Club "All Chevy Show" at Stillwater Motors. I'm assuming you won't make that one...razz

Cool - Thanks!

For the newer members, Tony lives just a few miles from the show, near 3M Center/World Headquarters. It's just a short sidestreet drive to the show from there.

The show is on a Friday night, and getting to the show is an exercise in TERROR - driving your hotrod amongst the general idiot rush-hour motorist population on the highways. Add to that it's "stop & go" traffic - and hotrods don't like that!

I'll add a NCC member password-protected link on the website for a map to Tony's. Consider meeting up there in the late afternoon, hang out awhile & bench race, then head to the show without anguish.

Just looked at the flyer.  It says free to NCC members bringing  their camaro.  I wonder if that is correct or do they mean chevelle instead of camaro?

Is there now a grass median between the curb and the parking lot for the club of the night?  Somebody mentioned to me that it has changed since last year?  Did we lose some parking spaces?  headscratch

NO, not from last year. There used to be an island in the lot that was removed a while back. No worries MR PREZ....razz

I plan on being there, will drive direct. Heading straight from work and leaving early enough to be there before traffic. I'll have the club tables and the "club chain and padlock" we used for the pop up at car craft last year.

I assume it's still business parking only until 4:30?

Since it wasn't said, wear the club shirt too.

Im planning to drive down there on my own as well. I have the day off and will be there early as well.

Regarding Bryans question about parking after 4:30. Did I understand that the hair place is gone now and the lot is unused? Therfore you guys can park before then?

For those that havent been there before. We basically line cars up across the lot to essentially "block" our reserved parking lot, leaving the empty spots open behind us, then as members show up to park with us, we back one car up and let them in and so on and so fourth. Reason for that is that if we dont block the lot, those that dont realize this lot is for the host club just zip right in and park, its been a problem in the past and we remedy this by blocking the spots and move when members show up. Its worked pretty well the last 2 years.

I have not taken a car to NSP so want to go on Friday, but have to remain tentative. What time would the group be leaving the rendevous point to drive down there or what time is everyone meeting at the show? I may have missed this info if previously posted.

Andy, I don't think we have a gathering point set up yet for the south siders.  I'm leaving my house between 3:30 & 4 p.m. if you want to stop by there first.  It's possible I may go up through Eagan to hook up with Kevin, and then go to St. Paul from there.

If anyone's interested in meeting up at my place in Rosemount, let me know so that I wait for you.
