Not moved in, just moved. We close on Tuesday afternoon on both houses.

Thanks to Chris P and my buddy Andy (he did the pics at Automania and has been at a couple other things). I got a 26 footer at U-haul at 9am, we loaded and unloaded ALL the big stuff by about noon, then made another trip of mostly garage/shed stuff by 3:30. Last trip was leftovers and I got the truck back by 5. Total bill including mileage was $55. I went less than 20 miles total for all 3 round trips and the gas gauge didn't move enough to necessitate a fill.

I have too much crap. I filled a 5 car garage FULL. Yes, the Chevelle took one stall, but it was packed pretty full too. It's going to take a couple weeks to get the household stuff in and dealt with. Going to be spring before the garage is anywhere near useable.

Congrats, just getting it all from point A to B is a huge step. We still have boxes in the basement we haven't opened since we moved here.............11 years ago...rolleyes

I'm sure that's a good feeling just to have it moved.  Now you can unpack at your pace.

Just curious though... in my past moves, possessions weren't allowed into the home since technically you don't have ownership until after the closing, and insurance won't cover your goods on someone else's property if something happens.  Did you negotiate that on selling yours and buying the other home?

Congrats pal- I know this is something you've been wanting for a long time. Glad it happened...and is over. Can't wait to lay down some black stripes in the street in front of your new place and **** off your neighbors for ya. I'm a giver like that. Seriously though- SO happy for you and the family!

Congrats Bryan! thumbsup

It's amazing how much crap you can accumulate, isn't it? It's cool that you were able to take everything to the new place ahead of time.

Bry won't be back on line for a couple days I'm sure, but I know they had to sign a waiver with the owner of the house they bought saying she is not liable for there stuff if anything happens.

Place is very nice, the new man cave should be sweet once he is able to get it organized and working. Nice to step into something that is all finished and heated without have to do all the work yourself.

Congrats on the new place Brian, but I don't envy the move headaches.

Thanks everyone. I can still get on here from work until I get unpacked.

Chris P is right, we signed a waiver essentially reading we're only using the garage and that we can't hold her liable. We aso wrote in that if things fell through, we would remove everything in a timely manner.

Scott-I plan on laying 2 stripes THROUGH THE GARAGES AND OUT THE DOOR when I get a chance this spring.
