Well, I now have a club for a right arm. The surgeon said it went well, so I hope he is right. They used a nerve block at the shoulder to stop the pain and my entire arm and hand are still completely useless. Learning how to mouse and type with my left hand...thumbsup I do have a cast that needs to be on for 10-14 days. Not gonna be fun for a while. I should have more use by Thanksgiving to eat turkey !!

Good luck with the recovery Mitch. Nerve stuff is always real scary. I hope you get that one handed zipper routine figured out!

I wish you the best of luck with your arm rehab. I can see you poking away with your left index finger, banging one key at a time, your posts and reply’s look painful. As Jim said, it’s a great time to surf the net for car parts.

Stay out of the shop at least for the next few days.

Good luck

Mitch, glad to hear the surgery went o.k., and I hope the recovery goes quickly so that you get back in the shop!

Derek's post made me laugh because I had a mental picture of you reaching behind your back with your left hand to your right back pocket for the credit card, and turning in circles like a cat chasing it's tail!  laughing

I my keep cc in a pigeon hole on my desk for convenient on-line use. It's very accessible...nana

I will be ordering 2 more Pertronix III's and coils. I have the original disty for my LS5 with a mid 70's Mallory shutter wheel electronic conversion that I want to change over to the Pertronix and put in the '66 for the vintage look. The second one will go in the '70 396.

Mitch, time for a little truth here, Is your wife more upset with.
1. Loss of income.
2. Thought of you sitting home for X period while she works watching soap operas.
3. Only having use of 1 arm as an excuse to not do house work.
4. Having to do the outside chores of snow removal XMas light displays ect.
5. Knowing you have outlived your usefulness and she has to look for a younger model to replace you.

I turned 51 last week and being laid up with a bad back has my wife commenting she needs a younger replacement that is not falling apart. So brother I know your pain with the arm situation. P.S. Stay away from Derek with your bad arm, he has a tendency to skip out on tabs with the manager looking at you to pay the bill or wash dishes with one bad arm. Been there done that with him, he claims it was an honest mistake to this day.

1) As an owner/operator, I lost most "profit" several years ago when diesel fuel went over $3.50/gallon. She would like me to live within my means and not spend every dime on cars. Good thing she is frugal so I can live where I do.

2) I have been home all winter for the past 4 years. She is a little jealous but isn't aggressive enough to be mean.

3) I never have done much house work, cooking, laundry, or dish washing, so nothing will change there.

4) She normally shovels the sidewalk and cleans the driveway with the snow thrower BEFORE going to work on snowy days. I did make sure the thrower was ready for work and moved it from the shed to the garage Saturday so it's ready for her...laughing

5) She was 30 when we met and knows I'm irreplaceable for certain chores. She's motivated to keep me going as long as possible.

6) Yes, I am spoiled beyond belief and feel extremely lucky to have her in my life. She is the best thing that ever happened to me..thumbsup

Yes, she has an older sister who hasn't worked in 30 years. She lives off her husband.

Hey Mitch. I was in the hospital 6 days after mine, a bit on the long side but glad to be home now and on the computer. I am a little like a baby right now and am glad to be able to eat, poop and sleep!?!
