It's not specified in the Bylaws about making nominations "here" (online), on the forum, so these posts technically can't be considered valid/legal per say...

I'd like to announce I will be more than willing to continue my position as NCC Web/Forum-Master for another term.

I'm 'informally' throwing my name in the hat again for Prez if you guys think the last year went o.k.  I'm up for another year if someone wants to nominate me at the Oct. or Nov. meeting.

I also understand if it's time for 'change'.  No worries either way.  I just enjoy being part of NCC in some way.

Thanks,

Stan

You won't hear an official second, because nominations are only official when presented at the October or november meeting.

if it were official, I would second it.

Ill stay on in my current position as vice pres. providing there isnt any intrest by others out there that want to take the job or anyone that may not be able to take on a job. There have been cases before where intrest in officer positions was low so if thats the case, im willing to continue providing no one has any issues with me doing so.

Also for anyone thats wondering what its like to become an officer or whats involved in a position. Dont be afraid to ask what it entails. Many positions out there are not as big of a time commitment as you would think. Seems the one thing everyone has least of is time. So if your intrested in becomming an officer, dont be afraid or intimidated by the idea. We have several positions that went unfilled and some members served double duty in multiple positions.

I think this past year went great. With that said I don't think we need to change anything. Besides, I've had more then enough "change" on the national level.

Actually it goes back to the people who stepped up when the club was falling apart and brought it back together. Many thanks to Bryan and others for getting things back on track and to the current officers who have taken the good and made it better. Unless there are others interested in any of the elected positions and the current people are willing to continue, I think it will be great to keep it rolling as it has.

As noted at the September meeting:

I will NOT be taking any positions this upcoming year, be it Treasurer (easy job), Secretary (easy job), or Newsletter (as involved as you want to make it). I will help provide newsletter info, offer suggestions, etc but the upcoming year at home looks to be even busier than in the past.

As I have said from the club's new beginning, we're all here because of the cars, but we stay for the people. This year started with 2 members not even owning Chevelles. That says something to me about who we are as a group. Please find the time to help keep this club growing and becoming stronger. I think we're headed in a good direction and everyone has a way they can help in some sort.

Please keep in mind that any candidates that are intending to run for an Officer position must announce their intent (in person or by a representative) at the November meeting.

I just re-read this and it sounded a little harsh to me. I'm not unhappy with any of what I was doing, have done, or will do. I just don't have the available time in the upcoming year. Hopefully my house will sell and I have a whole new housefull of projects. If not, I will continue on this one and continue some planned remodels and projects.

Plus, I just got Ashley's B-ball schedule for winter: 3-5 games a week plus practice, and I have another daughter who hasn't started her winter stuff yet.

For the record. I didnt read anything as sounding negative either Bryan so no need to apologize. You stepped in and went the extra mile on a lot of stuff since you along with John Enga both stepped in to start running the club to turn it around 2 years ago.

Depending on how things transpire with intrest in the Vice President position. The event coordinator position appears to be empty as well and ill fill that to make sure it doesnt go unfilled.

Weren't you the 'event coordinator' a couple of years ago?  I can't remember for sure.

I heard there was some discussion at the Oct. meeting that there may be interest in that position by other members.  I guess they will either post here or express interest at the Nov. meeting if that's the case.

Ian, thanks for all your help with the merchandise over the past few years!  It is greatly appreciated, especially hauling it to meetings, Car Craft, etc... and keeping track of the inventory counts.

Are you coming to the Nov. meeting?  If so, can you bring the merchandise tubs so that we can hand it off to the next coordinator?  Thanks.

Stan
