Model of my wagon!

You guys have seen my car- Now check out this model!

The level of detail he included is very impressive! All the decals, the license plate (down to the tabs!), the tach, fire extinguisher...all accurate! I was blown away.

The guy is in Hungary and is a total stranger to me. He saw my pics on the Flickr site, and decided to build it. Crazy cool!!

Very nice work. I think that guy needs a ride in your wagon.

Holy cow! I've done some detailed models, even a scale garage but that's amazing. Didn't even know they made that model, let alone things like the wheels and decals he must have made up. Very cool.

LOL Mitch!> I think I'll stick with the '67 stuff for now.

The guy sent me a note to my Flickr photo site, with the link to the pics he took of the model. He never contacted me before this.

That was part of the shock I guess. I mean, if he'd have contacted me earlier and asked questions or requested specific pictures, I'd have known it was coming together. But, until he sent me pics of the finished model, I had no idea. He thanked me for 'inspiring' him to build the model. Pretty cool deal.

If he was close I'd surely offer him a ride and the opportunity to drive the car. I mean, anyone who wants to can take it for a drive. It's not tough to figure out, if you can drive a stick. It's fun and has good brakes, so I don't mind. But since he's in Hungary, that's not so easy! LOL!

I haven't heard back from him on my offer to buy it. I'm thinking he wants to keep it and just wanted me to see his work...all of which is totally cool with me. I'm just honored he liked my car enough to replicate it, and did such a great job of it.
