Not sure if I will make it; but would join in Red Wing.  Just a side note, when I go from  Hastings to Red Wing,  I always go the back way out of Hasting towards  the casino then back to hwy 61 and Red Wing.  Less traffic, just as good road, avoid most of the bump-bumps on 61; but a little longer.

The Camaro Club cruise is the same day. Since I did most of this on the trial run, I'm gonna pass and go on the Camaro cruise. I will be driving the Chevelle though, since the Camaro still doesn't have heat....beers

Grrr...8 friends coming to visit from out of town. Bounced this plan off them...this cruise or MOA? Guess which one they picked. Something about riding in a car for several hours after just riding in a car for several hours to get here. What's wrong with people anymore? I guess I'll be at the stupid mall.

MOA is only about 30 min. from Hastings for some free car viewing in the late afternoon/evening.  You should drag them there kicking and screaming!  Imgonna

They have all winter to go to the mall. This could be the last time the cars come out before hibernation.

Looks like I'll be solo. 1 chevelle. I think I will head home after the Hasting show and won't make it to Stan's afterwards, too long of a drive home.

Right after you get there, tell them you need to find a restroom and that they should feel free to wander and look at the WHOLE place. You could be gone for 6 hours and they'd never miss you.

Here's the current car and headcount:

El Camino        Kevin and Angie

El Camino        John D. and Sheryl

Chevelle          Jon H. and Bonnie

                        Chris R.-2 ppl

Chevelle           Craig S. and family?

Chevelle            Steve S.

Chevelle            Stan and Tina

TOTAL 6 VEHICLES AND 13 PEOPLE SO FAR

Still need confirmation from Chad and Shawna, but I think they are in.

Tina and I drove the route yesterday, and it should be a great drive.  Good route with lots of scenery.  Checked out the lunch place, and that should be good too.  I'll post more direction info later.

Any others?  dunno

This is me and Michele's anniversary and it will be nice to cruise for the day. Its always cool to go on these cruises and see things I either havent seen or only see once a year or at least every other year.

Ill also mention again that this is a good opportunity to get some shots of cars for next years calendar. So perhaps we could find a place to stop along the route and position cars and get a bunch of us w/cameras to shoot cars. So those with cameras, bring them.

I am planning on going too along with my son,  Wife has other commitments that day.  We will be in the 72 Chevelle.    Are you aware that there is a car show in River Falls on Saturday?   I included a picture of the car show flyer and a few pictures of my car.

Rob, funny you should mention the car show in River Falls.  When I worked out the details with the waitress for lunch in River Falls, she said something about a 'car show' that I didn't understand.  Kind of like she assumed I knew something about it...  This makes sense now.  Thanks for finding the ad!  By the way... so that you know, I'm going to be crawling all over your survivor '72/402 so that I can see what I need to do to mine!  notworthy

So... if we leave Hastings at 10:30 a.m. as planned, we will be in River Falls by 11:30 a.m. and could cruise right into the show and park on Main St. where we had planned on going anyway!  thumbsup

Then we can hang out there for a couple of hours then cruise to Red Wing and into Hastings.  Sounds like a great day of classic cars!

Here's the new headcount:

'72 El Camino        Kevin and Angie

'65 El Camino        John D. and Sheryl

'69 Chevelle          Jon H. and Bonnie

                             Chris R.-2 ppl

'72Chevelle           Craig S. and family?

'72 Chevelle            Steve S.

'72 Chevelle            Rob and son

'72 Chevelle            Chad and Shawna

'72 Chevelle            Stan and Tina

TOTAL 8 VEHICLES AND 17 PEOPLE SO FAR

And if Loren and Lisa make it, that's 9 Chevelle's and 19 people!!!  nana

In case you miss it on the other Fall Cruise Post:

Here's a link to the Hastings Lock and Dam # 2 location (1350 Dam Road, Hastings, MN):

Us Lock & Dam
1350 Dam Rd , Hastings, MN 55033
(651) 437-3150

When you go down Spring St. towards the dam, go past the public boat landing parking lot until you can't go any further.  That's where the parking lot is that we will meet.  There is an indoor rest room and pop machine sitting at the west end of the parking lot.

Be there between 10 and 10:30 a.m.

Rachael and I are planning on meeting you just across the bridge from Red Wing.  We'll just find a convenient place to park and wait for you.

My mistake.  Miss-read the map.  I see your going the opposite way.  So won't be joining you on the ride.  Might make it up to Hastings for the show.

Jim, we do end up in Red Wing on our way back to Hastings.  We should be arriving there around 1-1:30 p.m. and will be stopping at Soldiers Memorial Park for a scenic overlook stop.  You could meet us there.

You can PM me your cell number if you want me to call you when we get close and then you can cruise to Hastings together.  You can lead the caravan if you have a good 2 lane way to Hastings.

Basically, we start in Hastings, go across to the WI side then north, then come back south to River Falls for lunch, then go to Red Wing, then back north on the MN side to end up in Hastings.

Yep, Craig's on the list.  The question mark is for if his girls are coming or not.

I also heard from Jim L. that he and Rachel are going to join us in Red Wing and then cruise to Hastings with us.  So that makes 10 cars total!
