Rearend guy needed

Tom Lowe, from IA is kind of an expert and well recommened regarding chevy 12 bolts. I did this my self with no experience and email help from Tom. I also bought all the parts that I needed from Tome. I believe he has a web site. http://www.12bolt.com/

The early 12 bolts are much harder to set up than the later 68-72 12-bolts. They use a single shim on each side and not the super shim kits.

Roger, since you're on the south side like me... some of us have used Lakeville Transmission to do work on our rear axles/diff's. Even though the name is 'Lakeville', they are located in Farmington.

They seemed reasonable in price, and did good work. I had them put in a posi and new gears in a 12 bolt a couple of summers ago. Kevin and Tom had them do similar projects, and no issues.

I had help (meaning I watched) from another member, but I got all my parts from Tom lowe too. Yukon gears, axles, install kit and yoke. Housing came from Stan and the Eaton Posi came from Mitch (lost in the 60s).

I've never asked them about rear end work, but would certainly trust them with how my 200-4r trans turned out.

I’ve used both Lakeville Transmission in Farmington and Master Transmission in Rosemount, been very satisfied. Both are very professional and affordable.
