odd tools I have

I had to fix both kid's bikes tonight. One of the things I had to do was tighten the rear hub, which meant using a thin 16mm wrench. I have one.

When Chris P and I were kids, our first job was building and fixing bicycles at a small bike shop in Eagan real close to what is now Competition Engines.

Anyway, while going through my old bike tools toolbox, I came across a bunch of tools that have not other use really but working on bikes. I shot a couple pics of them since I thought they were interesting.

Left column:

8,9,10mm tri socket wrench

4,5,6 allen tri allen wrench

chain breaker

Right column:

Sprocket holder for changing gears (yes, you can change gears on multi speed bikes like you can change them on cars)

The small piece is a tool that fits into the sprocket pack to spin it off the rear hub

Hooked tool is for the pedal area hub (bottom bracket it's called). One end is a locking ring, the other has a sized opening for the opposite side of that hub

Blue handled thing is for removing crank arms off the bottom bracket

bottom is another fixed pin spanner wrench

The green one at the bottom in the center is one of several spoke wrenches to tighten/loosen spokes to bring a wheel back to true if it wobbles (and isn't bent)

left side 3 are thin wrenches for adjusting the wheel hubs/bearings.

the bottom left one is a 13/14/15 mm wrench for wheel nuts, etc. Also has a prying end and allen nub.

Top right holds brakes together to tighten the cable, bottom pulls the cable tight. Mostly found/used on older and cheaper bikes now.

Anyone else have odd or 1 use tools laying around?
