I'm trying to determine the origin date of the club based on the first cruise that you guys took together.  I think it was Oct. '2002?  I found some pics in the club archives that would validate this, but want you to confirm.

I've included a pic of Derek's Chevelle, Keith's Elky, John D.'s 'old' Elky, and someone's Yenko Clone (I don't know who that was) that I think were in the first cruise.  I think Chris R. was also there because I found a pic with him at that same time.  Was anyone else there without a car?

There's also a pic of Keith's Elky, Derek's old Elky, and a corvette.  Was that part of the cruise, or a different event?

I'm putting this on the forum since I thought some of the members in the club would like to see the pics and know more about the origin of you guys connecting on TC and then having a cruise, which ended up in the forming of Northstar Chevelles!

If I'm correct, next year would be the club's 10th Anniversary, and we will need to do something special to recognize that milestone!  nana

That yenko's no clone, it's REAL!!!

Oct. 2002 sounds right... The pic with 4 cars was from a gathering that was organized on TC at Dean Ribich's home in Plymouth. The picture with 3 cars was a week or 2 later when a few of us did a little cruise to Red Wing.

The club was officially started in Jan. 03 with a meeting at Karl's shop in lakeville.

Thanks Derek.

Not sure why I thought it was a clone... I guess because they are so rare!  clonk

So it sounds like we will need to have a 10th anniversary Fall cruise next year, and then the club 10th anniversary celebration in 2013!  cancan

If I remember correctly, the Black LS6 car was the most complete and original 70 LS6 in the country and what all others were judged from ?

Derek, did your car get hit on the way up there ?

After the show is over, I can wade into the papers I have more and put together some of the facts. I have all the original filings to create the club, etc.
