Didn't some of the 3869942 Which were also used in the 67 model year have the casting # ground off and have the # 33904351 hand stamped into the block? Are you looking for specific dates for the heads or block?

It's right there in my book "Chevrolet by the Number" 64-69 by Colvin.  I would think the Corvette forums would know if its accurate.  Even has photos on page 62.  All changes up to 6th  printing indicated it is still  correct to that date of printing.  Indicate it happend on all the 67 corvette hp ratings and the Pass 385 cars.  The Casting number is ground off and hand stamped in the same area.

Then is right I'm not much on numbers or what's correct and don't have a book, but I thank you for the info.
