Fellow 200-4R converts, parking cable question?

Question to all those who have done the conversion to a 200r4? As part of the conversion the crossmember gets moved back about 3-4 inches. How did you hook up your parking brake cables after moving the cross member? There is a hook that slips into the cross member with stock transmissions, but with the repositioning the cable is too long? Looking for some ideas, thank you in advance.

Sorry... I can't help you on this one as the emergency brake cable is one of my future projects.  My Chevelle is missing 3/4 of the cable assembly.

Yes, my trans cross member is also moved to the next to last hole towards the rear too.

I guess I'll learn from you on this one Loren!

I drilled a hole horizontally through the cross member about 6" to the right of the trans  [mine is the tubular style] but you get the idea, then I fabbed a "hook" out of 5/16 round bar stock, threaded it and installed it in said hole with a nut and washer on either side of x-member for adjustment. then I moved the "hooks' that are at the mid-point of cables out to the next hole in the floor brace, [you may have to drill new holes].Finally I made a spacer out of 3/8 tube,[length may vary] installed that at the end of cable from the pedal, to tighten adjuster and take up extra cable. hope this helps holler w/more questions
