Bryan, I moved this to the 'Events' section since it's related to the May meeting.

John D., Bryan, Chris R., and Ian looks like we will need to dig out the club banner, biz cards, and club ware to set up where we park.  Sounds like a good turnout is starting to form up!

I have a box of cards, so does Ian. John D has the banner, but we need a way to hang it.

I'll come up with a couple of sticks of conduit, some tent stakes, and lengths of cord. We can make a free-standing rig.

I'll see if my short table fits in the trunk today. The banner fits across the front of the table, though it's a little long so it wraps around.

I won't be making it either. I had really wanted to beat the Counter and make it to Rock falls, but it isn't going to happen, too many small issues to work out on the car.

I think I will make it depending upon weather. For some reason the old password won't work regarding the email I got today for directions to Bryans house. Has that changed?

Weather is getting real iffy for Saturday. Not crazy abou putting miles on the convertible without the top down. Might go to the auction in Saint Paul with a friend and head over to Anoka when done with that. I can try and find the group if we get that far over. Password must be super secret, I can't get it to open either.

Dan-PM sent on the password.  I'll ask John D. to resend the email from when it was changed since some people didn't catch the change.

Keeping an eye on the weather too.  Looks cool (mid 50's) with a 30% chance of rain.  I heard later Sat. looks better than the early a.m.

I don't want to jinx anything but looks like the weatherman is starting to be uncooperative towards Saturday.

Just remember, no matter what the weather does, meterologists have the same record as baseball players and hedge their bets more than politicians.

I'd like to know how many people would be able to attend with their Chevelle if we move the meeting and gathering to Sunday due to the raw weather forecasted for tomorrow?

The First Fifty Swap Meet & Car Show is at the St. Paul Fairgrounds on Sunday as a potential activity/meeting site, and the weather looks a whole lot nicer (62 degrees and sunny).  We could meet up at a large parking lot somewhere nearby (Target/Wal Mart/Menards?) and then drive in together to have a meeting inside around Noon or 1 p.m.?

I know it's the fishing opener weekend, but some of us have already sat inside our cars with the heat running at the Spring Fling, and it wasn't that much fun... so it might make sense to reschedule to Sunday.

I'm checking with the other officers to get their thoughts on this, but would like some member feedback on the schedule change.  Please chime in.

Thanks!

I won't be able to make it on Sunday.  They are having the send-off for the soldiers on Sunday.  He will be leaving on the bus after the send-off and will not see him for a year.  Lot of family friends attending.

By the way, for anyone who's not been there--the Anoka site has a BIG covered parking ramp if anyone's concerned. I've seen it be nice, then rain for 10 minutes, then be nice all night again. People just pull in there for a bit, then pop back out.

SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE.... MEETING AND ANOKA SHOW CRUISE IN ARE STILL ON!

Despite the weather, we are planning on having a brief meeting at Bryan's at:

 3:30 P.M.

We will then go to the Anoka cruise-in at 4 p.m.

So that everyone is aware, this will be a brief meeting and we will cover:

1.) Upcoming events (Drag race next weekend, Hastings on Memorial Day weekend Sat., Downtown St. Paul in June, Car Craft in July, & Car Show in Aug)

2.) We are working on new shirts

3.) Any Aug. car show updates

It's up to you on driving your Chevelle.  Dress warm as the 'Feels Like' temp for today is no higher than 38 degrees!!!

I'm still going to the First Fifty show tomorrow morning at the St. Paul Fairgrounds, so I will create a new post with that information and a meet up place outside the fairgrounds.
