Have I gone too far...?

Last week my work had a first come first serve cheap sale of used laptops and desktops.  I got there about 45 min. before the start, and I was the 17th person in line!

I did get 2 laptops for $75 ea. and they do need the batteries replaced, but they did come with docking stations, so we're using those until the batteries arrive which I found on line for not too much $.  They are IBM Thinkpads with Windows XP, so they work pretty good.

One is for my wife because she's tired of waiting on me to get off the laptop we already have... and the other is for the man cave.  I told the wife it is to look up repair and parts info while I'm working on the car!

Now you know what that extra conduit was for... a CAT-5 out to the cave for the 'puter.

Tony-You are correct!  WAY too tempting...

John-I'm high tech now.  My secure wireless reaches out to the cave and I made sure the laptops I got had wireless cards in them.  Good thing because I forgot to run cat five in the conduit!

I have toted the laptop out to the garage before. Almost too convenient. I wouldn't keep one in mine sice it gets so dusty.

Wireless only works in mine when the door is open. I have the cat 5 line run out there just issues connecting in the house to the router.
