looks to be a nice restoration; but lots of things not correct for 66 besides of obvious, like the wrong rear axel assembly, might even be a re-stamp, 3 things alone wrong with the alternator. Kind of odd that they have a none 66 oil pan on a supposedly original engine. One has to wonder if they don't even have the medallions on the seat coves. most 66 guys would know what the code for the rear antenna would be. Rear antenna in 66 meant am radio only, anyone one interested should have a some who knows 66's to look at it. Seller is probably biding up the price,

Wow, They really messed up that engine stamping, when they restamped it. Is it supposed to be 11-02 with an extra 3 or is it supposed to be 10-23 with an extra 1 at the begining? Also the VIN stamping should all be inline and not overlapped.  That along with a TON of other things that's not correct.

looks like a bunch of bogus bids. Only vin stamping on one line would be the assembly date, Like TI023 for Oct 23, letter I used for the number 1, all other stamping except the suffix code would have been individually stamped, 6 for the year A for the plant, and then the sequence number. No such stamp of EFH only EDH for the suffix designation and Holley carb.

Isn't this the same outfit that (over on TC) they tried to market a re-nosed ('67 front clip on a 66) '66 as a "very early production '67" car?

I was rather stunned at the bid amounts too with everything wrong. Nice looking car if you don't know or care about details but over 30k is way out of line.

I thought they were all in a holder (the suffix letters) I was going by my 348/409 engines which seem to have them all inline. I'm not really up on all the numbers matching stuff. Anyway, it's still bogus as Oct 23 1965 was on a Saturday. Unless they assembled engines on the weekend.
