I have had AT&T for years now and I feel its time for a change to another provider. Currently considering T-Mobile or Verizon. What cell phone service are you guys using and would you recommend them?

I started with Midwest cellular and they got bought out by Alltel which sold to Verizon. Service seems to have gone down a little every time (less personable, more dropped calls) but over all, probably an 8 out of 10.

Verizon here - "family plan".

Works great as we can inter-talk to eachother for free, and the daughter's over in Green Bay at college.

So far great service, and new phones every 2 years.

Might want to check out Virgin mobile.

For $40.00 a month I get unlimited text, internet, email and such.  I also get 1200 minutes.

There are other plans that Virgin mobile offesr.  I know many people who have left Sprint, Verizon, ect... to switch to Virgin Mobile.  They have plenty of coverage area as well.

I bought the phone from Target for 140 but I think they are on sale now for $99.

Check it out on virginmobile.com.

AT&T... coverage sucks in most small towns, but it works in Dexter. We had Midwest/Altell/Verizon before, and it worked great everywhere except Dexter.

For work I have verizon. I travel all over the country and it has always worked. My wife has t-mobile it can go out at times when my phone still works. One nice thing about t-mobile is the home phone plan for $10 per month.call anywhere no long distance charges on home phone

I have two cell phones (one from each job) The one from Coca-Cola is AT&T and it BLOWS! the coverage is horrible. The one from the police dept is on Verizon and it ROCKS! never had a droped call and always have coverage evrywhere I go in the US. I'm sure there are spots where it doesn't work, but nowhere I've ever been.

Verizon for me for many years. Grat coverage and great customer service. If you need help you get someone in the US with little to no wait time. They know what they arre talking about and always help.

AT&T family plan here, 4 phones, only one that has decent coverage at my home. Work switched me to Verizon, had great coverage everywhere I travel, just no coverage at my home. So I switched that back to AT&T as well.
